At Borgo Lucignanello you can choose between five houses, sleeping between two and six guests, and a farmhouse just outside the village with space for seven guests and a private pool.
For guests staying in the village, there is an infinity pool on the hillside, overlooking the surrounding Tuscan countryside.
Whichever you choose, you'll feel at home. Each apartment is fully furnished and equipped with all you need for a comfortable and independent stay, taking advantage of the best Tuscany has to offer.
Casa Maria is the most romantic apartment in the Borgo. Set slightly apart from the rest of the accommodations, this apartment has a bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with two single beds, a living room with a fireplace, a kitchen, and a bathroom. There is a small private garden for dining al fresco under the rose trellis.
Casa Severino is on the ground floor of Casa Maria, but with a separate entrance. This apartment is perfect for the summer months, as it is the shadiest in the Borgo. It has a master bedroom, a bedroom with two single beds, two bathrooms, a full kitchen, a living room with a fireplace, and a small garden.
Casa Clementina faces onto the small central square of the Borgo. This apartment has an entrance hall where there is a large and comfortable couch which can sleep one guest, if needed. Up a short flight of steps there is a master bedroom, a bedroom with two twin beds, two bathrooms, and a bright sitting room with fireplace which leads to the kitchen. The kitchen is built into the original village walls and is a blend of modern appliances and antique and period touches, such as the marble countertop in local travertine and the antique handpainted tiles.
Casale Sarageto is a historic farmhouse from the 18th century which has been recently restored just outside the village, with a garden and private pool. On the ground floor there is a large living room, an outdoor covered porch with a barbecue, and another with an oven. Upstairs, there is a large kitchen, the main living room with a fireplace and wi-fi, the master bedroom, two bedrooms with two twin beds each, a bedroom with a single bed, and four bathrooms.
The furnishings have been chosen with care to set off the bright and spacious rooms of the house.
The restoration of the accommodations was overseen by Paolo Alberto Rossi, professor of architectural restoration and specialized in the restoration of historic buildings.
With his help, we were able to add modern comforts without losing the historic integrity of the village.
The restored buildings harmonize the spaces and materials with the surrounding countryside, using light local travertine, red terra cotta, majolica tiles, and fabrics with traditional Tuscan motifs and jacquard weaves.
All of this speaks of historic authenticity combined with modern hospitality...
Inside the village of Borgo Lucignanello there is a small shop which stocks food and personal care products.
The shop also has a small wine bar, where you can sit at the outdoor tables and sample a glass of Brunello di Montalcino or Vino Nobile di Montepulciano paired with Tuscan charcuterie and cheeses, olives, and other light dishes.
Nearby, there are a number of restaurants which we recommend. Our guests are given a list of our favorites and our staff is always available to both recommend and reserve a restaurant suited to your taste and budget.
Casa Amedeo boasts a traditional Tuscan fireplace, which takes up an entire wall. On this same floor, there is a bedroom with two beds, the master bedroom, two bathrooms, and the living room. From the living room, a spiral staircase leads to the former stable, now a sitting room which can be transformed into a bedroom with two single beds upon request.
From the windows of Casa Remo, guests look over the sacresty of the local church and the surrounding hills to Montalcino. This apartment has a large living room with a traditional fireplace covering an entire wall, a dining room, and a kitchen. Three steps take guests down to the two bedrooms, a master bedroom and a bedroom with two twin beds, each with a bathroom and each decorated with frescoes.
